From Carnegie Mellon University Athletics
The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team, ranked 21st in the nation, traveled to Westminster College on Friday, September 16 and defeated the Titans, 2-0, for its fifth win of the season in as many games.
Senior Andreas Fatschel (Seven Fields, Pa./Seneca Valley) put the Tartans on the board first when he finished a corner kick by sophomore Anthony Gulli (Warrenville, Ill./St. Joseph) with his head in the 33rd minute.
In the 57th minute, the Tartans added to the score with a goal by sophomore Greg Bellwoar (Devon, Pa./St. Joe's Prep). His shot came after a corner kick by sophomore Philip Petrakian (Redwood City, Calif./Sacred Heart Preparatory) and went off the keeper before finding the back of the net.
Junior Alec Lam (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional) earned the victory in goal for the Tartans, making four saves for the night.
