The University of Chicago men's soccer team kept its scoring binge rolling with a 6-0 road victory at Aurora University on Saturday afternoon.

The No. 3-ranked Maroons (6-0 record) have now produced at least three goals in five-straight matches. The Spartans fell to 4-3.

Max Lopez provided the lone score of the first half with an outstanding individual effort. The junior forward dribbled and juked through four defenders and nailed a 15-yard strike in the 36th minute. He now has a team-high eight goals on the season.

The second half saw UChicago break out in a big way. The visitors held a 15-0 shot advantage in the half and scored five times. Matthew Koh started the onslaught with a point-blank goal in the 48th minute.

Freshman midfielder Ben Brandt and sophomore forward Tommy Tenuta accounted for the rest of the goals as each player recorded a brace. Both of Brandt's tallies in the 70th and 84th minutes were assisted by junior defender Zachary Pierce. Tenuta deposited the ball in the back of the net in the 73rd minute off an assist by freshman forward Bryce Millington. Then in the 89th minute, Tenuta was taken down by the goalkeeper in the box on a breakaway and converted his penalty kick.

For the match, UChicago dominated shots 26-2 and corner kicks 7-0. Senior goalkeeper Hill Bonin garnered the win with 73:29 of play between the pipes, and he was relieved by freshman Aaron Katsimpalis for the remaining 16:31. Aurora did not put any shots on goal and UChicago picked up its third shutout.
