Emory University won its second relay of the 2014 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, as senior Ross Spock, sophomore Andrew Wilson, junior Hayden Baker and senior Ryan Bass swam to a victory in the 400-yard medley relay during the second day of Championship competition at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Spock, Wilson, Baker and Bass recorded a time of 3:15.13 to win the relay, besting the previous school record time by over two seconds, and missing out on the Division III record by just four hundredths of a second.  It was the second National Title in as many days of competition for Spock, Wilson and Bass, who were each a part of the winning 200-yard medley relay yesterday.

The National Championship was the 15th in the history of the Emory Men's Swimming and Diving program, and the third ever in a relay event.

The win in the 400-yard medley relay added 40 points to the Eagles' team total, as Emory ended the second day of competition in third place with 153 points, trailing first-place Denison University (282) and second place Kenyon College (272 points).

Spock and Bass were a part of both all-America relays for the Eagles on Thursday, finishing second in the 200-yard freestyle relay as well, along with senior Jake Stephens and sophomore Matt Kuhlik, with a time of 1:20.96.  Spock now has four all-America honors during the meet, and the 19 for his career surpass the previous program record of 17, held by former Eagle Justin Hake.  Bass upped his career all-America certificate total to 12 with the two on Thursday.

Hayden Baker added an all-America honorable mention in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing 11th with a time of 48.83 seconds.
