Chicago Men’s Swimming and Diving Garners Coaching Staff of the Year and Diver of the Year honors

The University of Chicago men's swimming and diving team picked up a pair of honors from the University Athletic Association with the release of the 2014 UAA Swimming & Diving Championships Awards on Thursday.

UChicago's Matthew Staab was voted as UAA Men's Diver of the Year for the second-straight year. The junior won the three-meter dive (534.80 points) and took second in the one-meter dive (517.85 points) over the weekend meet.

Head coach Jason Weber and his assistants were selected as UAA Men's Coaching Staff of the Year. The Maroons scored their highest point total ever in a conference championship, finishing only 3.5 points behind team champion Emory University (1,533 points to 1,529.5 points).
