From University of Rochester Athletics
Excellence in the water extended into the classroom for the
men's and women's swimming and diving teams at the University of
Rochester. Both genders have been designated as winners of the Team
Scholar All-America Award by the College Swimming Coaches
Association of America (CSCAA).
The CSCAA presents its Team Scholar All-America Award to teams
which have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or
higher. The award is presented twice annually, one in the fall
semester, then in the winter/spring of the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming
and Diving Championships.
Rochester's women had a cumulative GPA of 3.56. It is the ninth
highest GPA among Division III teams. There are a total of 120
colleges listed for the women's Team Scholar All-America honor.
The Yellowjcket men had a cumulative GPA of 3.12 for the fall
semester. That places Rochester 52nd out of 76
teams to achieve the coveted award.
