No. 25 Spartas Continue Dual Meet Win Streak with 210-70 Victory Versus Allegheny

In its first official competition in more than a month, the No. 25 nationally ranked Case Western Reserve University men's swimming & diving team defeated visiting Allegheny College (Pa.) by a score of 210-70 on Saturday afternoon at Veale Natatorium.

The Spartans (6-1) have now won six consecutive dual meets, while the Gators drop to 1-7.

CWRU claimed the top spot in 13-of-16 events led by a four-time winner in junior Aaron Tam (Doral, Fla./Ronald Reagan Doral Senior).

Individually, Tam took first in the 50-yard freestyle (21.71) and the 100 butterfly (51.91). His time in the 50 free was a career best.

In relays, Tam took part in a pair of first-place finishes. The first came in the 400 medley as he swam with senior Andrew Bollinger (Boulder, Colo./Fairview) and freshmen John Kilbane (Independence, Ohio/St. Edward) and Oliver Hudgins (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) to a time of 3:34.71. To close the afternoon, CWRU's 200 free relay consisting of seniors Elliott Kerbel (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) and Eric Haufler (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) along with Hudgins and Tam touched the wall in 1:27.13.  

Kerbel (100 breaststroke/1:02.63) and Haufler (200 free/1:46.17) also won individual events.
