Spartans Pick Up First Win, 144-77, versus John Carroll

The Case Western Reserve University men's swimming & diving team picked up wins in 11-of-13 events en route to a 144-77 win versus local-rival John Carroll University on Saturday at Veale Natatorium.

The Spartans move to 1-1 in dual meets for the early season, while the Blue Streaks drop to 0-2.

Junior Aaron Tam (Doral, Fla./Ronald Reagan Doral Senior) won a pair of individual events with a time of 47.40 in the 100-yard freestyle and a mark of 16:37.96 in the 1,650 free.

For the second straight week, junior Connor Farrell (Bedord Corners, N.Y./Fox Lane) swept the diving events. He totaled 283.70 points on the 1-meter board and a season-best 297.05 on the 3-meter. Both of his scores were once again regional qualifiers.
