Emory University junior Andrew Wilson broke an NCAA Division III record for the second-consecutive day, this time breaking the national mark in the 200-yard breaststroke, to once again lead the Eagles during the final day of the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio.

Wilson concluded his incredible weekend with a Division III record-setting performance in the 200-yard breaststroke, winning the event with a time of 1:57.18.  The time bested the previous D-III mark of 1:57.79, set by Whitworth's Rory Buck at the 2011 NCAA Championships.  Wilson's time was also good for pool and meet records, in addition to an NCAA 'A' cut time.

For the weekend, Wilson set Division III records in both the 100-yard breaststroke (53.41 seconds) and the 200-yard breaststroke, in addition to setting a school record in the 200-yard individual medley (1:47.59).  He added 'B' cut times as a part of the Eagles' 400-yard medley relay and 200-yard medley relay.

Wilson led the Emory men to a fourth-place finish out of six teams, with the Eagles totaling 1,451 points to finish behind Denison (2,314.5 points), Cincinnati (2,130.5 points) and Wright State (1, 553 points).  The Emory women also claimed fourth place, scoring 1,496 points to finish behind Miami (2,409), Toledo (1,554) and Cincinnati (1,523.5).

Sophomore Christian Baker added a second first-place finish for the Emory men, winning the 1,650-yard freestyle with a 'B' cut time of 15:33.62.  Other provisional times in the event for Emory include freshman Henry Copses (fourth, 15:44.52), sophomore Mitchell Cooper (fifth, 15:47.88) and junior Eagan Zettlemoyer (seventh, 15:55.73).  Baker added a provisional time of 1:49.93 seconds in the preliminaries of the 200-yard backstroke, while junior Jared Scheuer finished third in the finals with a 'B' cut time of 1:47.91.

In the 100-yard freestyle, freshman Alexander Hardwick claimed sixth-place in the 100-yard freestyle with a provisional time of 45.51 seconds.  Senior Hayden Baker and junior John Galvin finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 200-yard fly, each recording provisional times of 1:49.99 and 1:51.53 during the prelims.

Adding 'B' cut times behind Wilson in the men's 200-yard breaststroke were senior Eric Ruggieri (fifth, 2:02.48), freshman Chandler Lichtefeld (sixth, 2:03.74) and freshman Cooper Tollen (ninth, 2:02.46).  Emory rounded out the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay by freshman Wes Duke, Hardwick, junior Matt Kuhlikand freshman Oliver Smith with a 'B' cut time of 3:02.38.
