Gunnar Zemering Wins Two Events As Rochester Splits

Natives James Frauen and Pat Davis made a nice return to Pittsburgh on Saturday, but it was a freshman who stole a little bit of the thunder.
 
Gunnar Zemering won two events and was Rochester's sole dual individual champion in a triangular match with Carnegie Mellon and Grove City.  Frauen had a first and a second. Davis had one second as did Brian Wong.
 
Rochester defeated Grove City, 182-98 and lost to Carnegie, 214-50-73.50. CMU defeated Grove City 232-62.
 
Zemering won the 50 free (:21.60) and the 100 free (:47.54). He swam on the 200 medley relay which was second (1:36.68) with Frauen, Davis, and Wong. He also swam on the 200 free relay with Daniel Weekes, Brett Maus, and Ryan Berger (1:27.83) That relay finished second.
 
Frauen won the 200 back in 1:57.54, a dead-even tie with Michael Dibacco of Carnegie Mellon. Davis was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.41) and fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:18.60). Wong was second in the 100 fly (:52.31), fifth in the 200 fly (2:01.23).
 
Dylan Sharkey was third in the 200 free (1:46.88) and fourth in the 500 free (4:54.43). Jacob Reid was sixth in the 200 IM (2:07.99). Mitchell Gray was fourth in the 1,000 freestyle (10:37.22).
