Connor Farrell of CWRU Qualifies for NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships

After finishing fifth in the three-meter dive at the NCAA Division III Region 1 Diving Championships in Granville, Ohio on Saturday, Case Western Reserve University senior Connor Farrell received a bid into the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in March.

Farrell entered Saturday's competition needing a strong performance to earn one of the region's ten bids into the NCAA Championships, after finishing 10th in the one-meter dive with a score of 415.70 on Friday night.  He obliged, scoring 465.60 points in the three-meter dive to finish fifth and claim his spot in next month's NCAA Championships.

Farrell, who will be making his first career appearance in the meet, will be joining CWRU swimmers Aaron Tam, Drew Hamilton, Oliver Hudgins, and Andrew Henning in the NCAA Championship field. 

The 2016 NCAA Division III Championships will be hosted by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina from March 16th – 19th.
