Eight Members of NYU Team Named Scholar All-Americans

Eight Members of the New York University men's swimming & diving team earned College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honors. Five received All-America distinction, while three were named Honorable Mention All-America.

To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and also participated in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable Mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets. 

Reid Hensen, Tim Kou, Chad Moody, Austin Palmer and Daniel Tay earned Scholar All-America honors, while their teammates Sean Haechler, Timothy Kwarcinski and Jake Parker received Honorable Mention All-America distinction.

The squad had a successful season in the pool, finishing its dual-meet schedule with an impressive 8-1 record to go along with a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championships for the second-straight year.
