From University of Chicago Athletics
The University of Chicago men's and women's swimming and diving teams, along with 13 individuals, garnered Scholar All-America status from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The CSCAA named 658 swimming and diving teams from 388 institutions as Scholar All-America teams. To achieve the distinction, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the spring semester. The Maroon women's team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.54 while the men recorded a 3.23 team GPA.
UChicago was also represented by 13 individuals CSCAA Scholar All-Americans, including 10 women and three men. The 10 women's selections were the third-most in NCAA Division III, trailing only Emory University and Kenyon College. A total of 853 athletes nationwide were First Team Scholar All-Americans while 894 were Honorable Mention Scholar All-Americans.
First Team Scholar All-Americans must achieve a GPA of 3.50 or higher and participate in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable Mention selections require a GPA of 3.50 and achievement of a "B" time standard or competed at their respective diving qualifying meets.
