Chicago Places 14th at NCAA Championships

The University of Chicago men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the final day of the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday.

Over the course of the four-day national meet, the Maroons compiled All-American honors in 15 events and set four new schools records. The UChicago men (60.5 points) and women (79 points) both finished in 14th place in the final team standings. Emory University won the women's team title (560 points) and Denison University won the men's team title (455.50 points).

UChicago's men posted one more All-American performance in the final event of the meet. The 400-yard freestyle relay finished 11th in a time of 3:01.45. The relay quartet included freshman Alexander Farrell, senior Thomas Meek, freshman Keenan Novis and senior Matthew Veldman.
