Andrew Wilson has been named as one of the 107 athletes to make the 2015-16 U.S. Swimming National Team as announced by USA Swimming on Tuesday afternoon. In addition, Head Coach Jon Howell was named as one of 67 coaches who will be a part of the prestigious roster of National Team Coaches.
The USA Swimming National Team is comprised of the six athletes with the highest world rankings in each Olympic event from the combined results of all USA Swimming or FINA sanctioned meets from Jan. 1, 2015, to Aug. 10, 2015. Wilson earned a spot on the roster for the 100- and 200- meter breaststroke events after taking first in the 100 at the Phillips 66 National Championships and third in the 200 in San Antonio, Texas in early August. He swam a time of 59.65 in the 100 and clocked in at 2:10.35 in the 200.
The Bethesda, Md. native capped off his junior season with the Eagles with a historic performance at the Division III National Championships. Wilson was crowned an NCAA Champion in the 100 and 200 Breast as well as the 200 IM and set NCAA Records in all three events. He was named the NCAA Division III Swimmer of the Year, the United Athletic Association (UAA) Swimmer of the Year and the CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year for Division III At-Large for his performance.
Throughout his first three seasons with the Eagles, Wilson's list of accolades is long and includes being a three-time individual NCAA Champion, a two-time relay National Champion, a 12-time All-American, a five-time individual UAA champion, a five-time UAA relay champion, an eight-time All-UAA individual selection, a six-time All-UAA relay honoree and the 2013 UAA Rookie of the Year.

For Howell, he will be a part of regular National Team Coaches Seminar, one of the most prestigious gatherings of coaches that takes place anywhere in the world. During the 2014-15 season, Howell led the Emory women's team to their sixth straight national title and eighth overall while the men's team placed fourth. It marked the 16th consecutive year that the Emory men's team placed in top five.
