CWRU Defeats Allegheny, Falls to Carnegie Mellon at Tri-Meet

The Case Western Reserve University swimming and diving teams competed in a tri-meet in the Veale Natatorium on Saturday afternoon, with the men earning a 196-97 win over Allegheny College, but falling 231-69 against Carnegie Mellon University. The women fell 203-97 against the Tartans.

For the men, junior Aaron Pang finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a mark of 52.71 and in the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 1:56.88.

Other second-place finishers for the CWRU men includes junior Oliver Hudgins in the 200-yard backstroke (1:57.46) and junior Drew Hamilton in the 500-yard freestyle (4:50.01). The 200-yard freestyle team of Hudgins, Hamilton, senior Andrew Henning and sophomore Brody Schmidt also finished second with a mark of 1:27.81.
