The New York University men's swimming team completed the second and final day of the NYU Fall Invitational, which was held on Friday and Saturday, November 4-5, at the Palladium Athletic Facility in Manhattan.

NYU dominated the meet, winning 16 of the 19 events across the two days. The Violets finished with 785 points, 203 ahead of second-place Stevens Institute of Technology (582) and 384 ahead of Ursinus College (401).

"I think it was important for us to win a two-day meet," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "Swimming two days in a row against good competition gives us good preparation as we move forward. I'm pretty happy with the results and now it's back to training on Monday."

Junior Tim Kou continued his successful season with first-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.08) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:06.69), while Junior Chad Moody also secured first-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (47.72) and 100-yard backstroke (52.94).

Freshman Carlos Colmenares finished first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.85) and second in the 400-yard IM (4:14.52).

"I thought Carlos swam great over the two days," added Miele. "Overall, a very solid performance and we're very happy with his progress so far."

Highlights:

- The Violets secured first place in all five relay events, including the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:09.09) and 400-yard medley relay (3:30.67).
