Violets Complete Day Two of NYU Invitational

The New York University men's swimming & diving team completed day two of the NYU Invitational, which was held at the Palladium Athletic Facility in Manhattan on Friday and Saturday, February 3-4. 

There was no team scoring at the meet. 

Junior Christian Alonte secured first in the men's 100-yard butterfly (50.35), while Senior Steve Turnbull finished in third (53.35). 

Freshmen Stephen Yang and Redden Thompson finished first in the men's 200-yard IM (1:58.74) and 50-yard freestyle (21.70) events, respectively. The Violets also secured first in the men's 400-yard freestyle relay. 

"I thought we swam very well today," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "Our relay guys put in a great performance. Overall, I'm very proud of the team and really glad to see it come together today."
