Back in the pool for the first time in nearly two months, the University of Chicago men's swimming and diving teams split a home tri-meet with Lewis University and Olivet Nazarene University on Friday.
The Maroon men topped Lewis 157-122 and lost to Olivet Nazarene 154-133, winning six events.
Junior diver Dean Boures was a multi-winner in the men's one-meter dive (269.48) and three-meter dive (272.40).
Freshman Taye Baldinazzo provided one of the night's biggest highlights when he broke the school record in the 1,000-yard freestyle. His winning time of 9:33.55 beat out the runner-up by more than 10 seconds.
