10 Maroon Swimmers Qualify for NCAA Championship

The University of Chicago qualified 10 swimmers for the upcoming NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, scheduled to occur March 15-18.

Freshman Reona Yamaguchi is the highest-seeded UChicago swimmer – he comes in with the second-best time in the men's 100-yard breaststroke (54.22). Senior Alison Wall is the highest-ranked women's swimmer as the No. 5 seed in the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.03).

  • Lance Culjat (Fr.) – 200-yard breaststroke
  • Alexander Farrell (So.) – 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard medley relay
  • Aaron Guo (Fr.) – 800-yard freestyle relay
  • Byrne Litschgi (Fr.) – 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard medley relay
  • Aidan Meara (Fr.) – 200-yard freestyle relay
  • Dalton Mitchell (So.) – 800-yard freestyle relay
  • Jonathan Simoneau (Sr.) – 200-yard freestyle relay, 800-yard freestyle relay
  • Michael Todd (So.) – 200-yard butterfly, 400-yard medley relay
  • Reona Yamaguchi (Fr.) – 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 400-yard medley relay
