Arlen Fan Breaks Rochester Record at UAA Championships

Arlen Fan broke the Rochester record for the 100 meter breaststroke at the UAA Championships on Friday afternoon.

Fan swam in the 100 meter prelims with a time of 56.79 to beat Pat Davis' previous record of 57.20 set at the 2014 UAA Championships. Fan finished 9th pushing him to the B finals of the 100 breast.

In the 100 meter fly Alden Brewer swam a time of 52.19 putting him in 21st place moving him on to the finals. Connor Virgile swam a time of 53.25 in the 100 back putting him in 23rd place, allowing him to move onto the finals. On the 3 meter board, Stephen Savchik finished third with a mark of 339.20.

The 200 medley relay was the 7th fastest among the A relays with a time of 1:36.56. The event was swum by  Virgile, Fan, Paul Steve, and Eric Albuquerque.
