Almost two months after leading the Emory University Men's Swimming and Diving team to the 2017 National Championship, Andrew Wilson was back in the pool competing at the Arena Pro Swim Series this weekend at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.

Wilson closed out the meet in impressive fashion Sunday evening, winning the 100 LCM Breaststroke event against a loaded field featuring 2016 Rio Olympians Richard Funk, Kevin Cordes, Carlos Claverie and former UGA standout Nicolas Fink. The title is Wilson's second 100 LCM Breaststroke win in Arena Pro Swim Series competition of 2017, having also won at Austin in January.

The 100 Breast final proved to be a tightly contested race with Wilson coming out on top by .07 seconds, touching in a time of 1:01.07 to edge out second place Fink (1.01.14). Funk (1:01.19), Cordes (1:01.40) and Miguel De Lara Ojeda (1:01.48) rounded out the top five.

Wilson shined in the prelims as well, posting the top overall time at 1:00.45. He was the lone swimmer to record a sub-1:01.00 time during the morning session.

On Friday, Wilson was also in action as he advanced to the finals of the 200 LCM Breaststroke. He placed sixth overall with a time of 2:13.32. Chase Kalisz, a member of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team and a silver medalist in the 400 IM, claimed the top spot in the finals with a time of 2:10.74.
