Following a fifth place finish in the 100 Breaststroke on Monday night, Emory University swimmer Andrew Wilson will have another chance to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Team after advancing to the 200 Breaststroke final on Wednesday evening inside the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb.

Wilson posted a time of 2:10.70 in the second semifinal heat, the sixth-fastest mark of the 16 semifinal swimmers, to qualify for tomorrow's final. Wilson put forth a strong showing in the heat as he was firmly in second for the majority of the race, trailing only Kevin Cordes, before being passed by Nic Fink over the final 50 meters to finish in the third position.

Wilson reached the semifinals after swimming a 2:11.27 during the morning session, the fifth-fastest prelim time out of the 98 competing swimmers in the event. Wilson started his heat off in impressive fashion as he was ahead of the world record pace after the first 50 meters and was just .20 seconds behind it following the 100 meter turn. The Bethesda, MD native was in front of the pack for 175 of the 200 meters before being caught and passed by Josh Prenot at the very end to finish second in the heat.

The 200 Breaststroke finals tomorrow will feature Cordes (2:07.81), Prenot (2:08.41), Will Licon (2:09.08), Cody Miller (2:09.91), Fink (2:09.95), Wilson, BJ Johnson (2:10.77) and Brendan McHugh (2:13.44) and will be broadcasted live beginning at 8:00 PM EST, airing on NBC, the NBC Sports app and usaswimming.org.
