Spartans Defeat Ohio Northern

The Case Western Reserve University men's swimming and diving teams picked up a 194-106 victory over Ohio Northern University on Saturday.

The men claimed 11 of the 16 events on Saturday, including a sweep of the relays. The 400-yard medley relay team of freshman Will McDonald, senior John Kilbane, senior Oliver Hudgins and senior Drew Hamiltonwon the event with a mark of 3:35.61, while Hudgins, Hamilton, junior Brody Schmidt and senior John Tomkoended the meet with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:28.86.

Two different Spartan men won a pair of individual events, with Hudgins finishing first in the 50-yard freestyle (22.40) and the 100-yard butterfly (53.01), and freshman Sean Twomeyclaiming the win in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.07) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:16.24).

Adding wins on Saturday for the men were junior Keith Erichsen in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:03.99), senior Logan Smith in the 200-yard butterfly (2:00.17), Tomko in the 100-yard freestyle (49.56), Schmidt in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.51) and Hamilton in the 500-yard freestyle (4:50.94).
