Spartans Finish Sixth at UAA Championships

The CWRU men placed sixth, at the 2018 University Athletic Association Championships in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday.

Top performances for the men on Saturday included the 400-yard freestyle relay team of senior Drew Hamilton, senior Oliver Hudgins, senior John Tomko and junior Brody Schmidtfinishing sixth in the event with a time of 3:06.91.

Individually, Hudgins finished 11th in the 200-yard backstroke (1:51.39), freshman Will McDonald placed 14th in the 200-yard backstroke (1:53.59), Hamilton finished 10th in the 100-yard freestyle (46.15) and senior Evan Rose placed 13th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:06.27). In addition, the Spartans men had a strong performance in the 1,650-yard freestyle as junior Keith Erichsen finished 10th (16:14.02), Schmidt placed 11th (16:15.75) and senior David Merriman finished 14th (16:21.10).
