Todd Wojtkowski of Case Receives USTA/ITA Sectional Campus & Community Outreach Award

SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association and United States Tennis Association have named Todd Wojtkowski as the Midwest Region's recipient of the 2013 Sectional Campus and Community Outreach Award.

Wojtkowski was one of only seven coaches from all divisions around the nation to receive the award. It is given to coaches who provide a leadership role in increasing tennis participation throughout his or her community, both on and off campus. Among the USTA/ITA partner programs available to assist coaches in giving back are Campus Kids' Days, Kids 10 and Under, Campus Showdowns and Tennis On Campus.

"To be nominated and to receive this award is a testament to all that our student-athletes have done off the court and within the community," said Wojtkowski. "The award is more theirs than it is mine. I just try to provide as many opportunities for our program to give back to a sport which has given us so many opportunities in our own lives."

In his sixth year at Case Western Reserve University, Wojtkowski is no stranger to ITA awards. In the spring, he was named Wilson/ITA Central Region Coach of the Year after leading the Spartan men to a historic season that concluded with a trip to the NCAA Championship Tournament Round of 16.

"The more our players and I are able to give back to the young players in our community, the more we all grow as leaders and responsible people," said the head coach. "My fiancé, best friends and family will all tell you that my work is my life. I truly have faith that tennis is an incredible vehicle that can teach people enough life skills to build successful and prosperous lives."
