The No. 2-ranked Emory men's tennis team upped its winning streak to three matches Thursday afternoon, defeating intra-city foe Oglethorpe University. The Eagles raised their overall record to 9-4 following a 9-0 blanking of the Stormy Petrels who slipped to 4-6.
After sweeping the doubles portion of the match, including an 8-5 win by the No. 1 duo of Alex Ruderman and Ian Wagner that raised their spring record to 8-3, the Eagles captured all six singles match-ups. Wagner and sophomore Aman Manji posted 6-0, 6-0, wins at the No. 4 and No. 6 spots, respectively. At third singles, Junior Rafe Mosetickbested Judd Motz, 7-5, 6-0, to notch his team-leading 17th victory this year (10-2 in spring action). Other wins came from sophomore Josh Goodman at No. 5, senior Eric Halpern at No. 2 and Ruderman at No. 1.
