Yellowjackets Sweep Past Ithaca 9-0

The University of Rochester swept past Ithaca College 9-0 in men's tennis action on Saturday evening at the Goergen Athletic Center.
 
All six players in the Rochester lineup were double winners.  The Yellowjackets (3-1) won all six singles matches in straight sets while also going 3-0 in doubles play.  Ithaca drops to 0-2 with the loss.
 
Rochester got things started with an 8-0 win at 3rd doubles from Ian Baranowski and Aaron Mevorach.  Jonny Baker and Sam Leeman were 8-5 winners at 1st doubles and UR made it 3-for-3 with an 8-2 win from Julian Danko and Ben Shapiro at #2.
 
In singles, Danko was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at #4 and that was followed by Shapiro earning the clinching point at #1 by the same score.
 
Baker was a 6-1, 7-5 winner at #2 while Baranowski won 6-3, 6-1 at #3.  The final two matches were Leeman winning 6-1, 6-1 at #5 and Mevorach sweeping his Bomber opponent 6-0, 6-0 at #6.
