After an impressive day one on Saturday, the University of
Rochester men's tennis team captured three of the five flight
titles on day two of the St. Lawrence University Fall Classic on

Senior captain Julian Danko was a double-winner, capturing the A

In the finals, Danko beat sophomore teammate Jonny Baker 7-5, 6-2
to win the title. To reach the finals, Danko ousted doubles

Baranowski in a marathon match 6-0, 6-7, 16-14.
Rochester also had both finalists in the B flight singles bracket
with sophomore Sam Leeman beating freshman teammate Aaron Mevorach
6-3, 6-4 to win the title. In the semis, Leeman won in
straight sets over Kevin Frommer from St. Lawrence 6-2, 6-1 while
Mevorach won in three sets 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 over Hobart's Harry
Nichols.
In the A doubles flight, all three of UR's teams reached the
semifinals with two of them winning to create a third all UR final
on the day. The team of Mevorach and Baranowski were 8-4
winners over Baker and Leeman to reach the final while Danko and
Shapiro bested a Hamilton duo 8-2 in the semis. In the
finals, Danko and Shapiro won by an 8-5 score.
For the season, Danko now is a perfect 8-0 in singles and 7-1 in
