From Carnegie Mellon University Athletics

The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team began it's spring break trip with a 9-0 win against Whittier College on Sunday, March 6. The seventh-ranked Tartans are now 6-4 on the season.

The team swept doubles action with seniors Abhishek Alla (Hyderabad, India/IMG Pendleton School) and Yuvraj Kumar (New Delhi, India/Millfield School) winning 8-2 at third doubles.

Alla went on to win 6-4, 6-2 at first singles while freshman Daniel Levine (Highland Park, Ill./Boca Prep International School) won 6-1, 6-2 at second singles.

Junior Kunal Wadwani (Saratoga, Calif./Ballarmine College Prep) picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at fifth singles, as freshman Chaz Downing (Newport Beach, Calif./Corona Del Mar) won 6-4, 6-2 at sixth singles.
