The New York University men's tennis team defeated Hobart College on the road by a score of 7-2 on Friday, March 11, in Geneva, NY. NYU is now 2-2 in its dual matches.
In doubles play, the Violets won two of the three matches with senior captain Sidd Thangirala and freshman Shrikar Kundur picking up a win at #2 doubles, and junior Matt DeMichiel and freshman Yanik Parsch picking up a win at #3 doubles.
In #1 singles, freshman Benedict Teoh fought through a first-set tiebreak to win in straight sets 7-6 (7-5), 6-0. NYU controlled the rest of singles play as well, winning four of the final five matches in straight-sets to earn a decisive victory.
"We had contributions from everyone in the lineup," said NYU Head Coach Horace Choy.
