The Emory men's tennis team continued a three-match road trip with a Thursday afternoon victory over NCAA D-I member Georgetown University. The Eagles won for the fourth straight time and raised their spring slate to 12-4 following a 5-2 decision over the Hoyas who slipped to 7-11.

Playing D-I rules, Emory took a 1-0 lead in the match after winning two of the three doubles encounters. Junior David Omsky and sophomore Jonathan Jemison captured a 7-6 triumph at No. 3 over Ian Witmer and Michael Chen, while the No. 1 duo of junior Scott Rubinstein and sophomore James Spaulding won their fourth straight outing, capturing a 7-5 outcome against Peter Beatty and Mac Rechan.

Emory, ranked No. 1 in the D-III ranks, sealed the outcome by taking four of the six singles battles. At No. 1, senior Aman Manji rallied for a 6-7, 6-3, 6-3, triumph over Marco Lam, his 12th against four setbacks this spring (21-5 overall). Sophomore Adrien Bouchet boosted his dual ledger to 8-5 after coming away with a 6-3, 7-5 decision at No. 3 against Jordan Portner. Junior Alec Josepher won for the 11th time in in 15 outcomes this spring with a 7-5, 6-1 verdict against Rechan. Senior Josh Goodman kept up his winning ways at No. 6, with his 6-3, 6-3 victory representing his eighth straight triumph.
