Emory University junior David Omsky and sophomore Jonathan Jemison brought home the D-III Doubles Championship Friday evening at the ITA Oracle Cup.  The Oracle Cup (formerly the ITA Small College Championships) is being held at the Surprise Tennis Center in Surprise, Arizona.

The No. 4 D-III seed heading into the Oracle Cup, the Emory tandem defeated No. 2 seed Matt Tyer and Wilson Lamberth of Trinity University, 6-2, 7-5, in the title match.  Earlier in the day, Omsky and Jemison bested Nikolai Parodi of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the semifinals, 7-6, 6-1.

Omsky and Jemison become the second Emory doubles team to with the D-III crown, joining Michael and Chris Goodwin who accomplished that feat in 2008.

With the win, the Emory pair moves on and continues to vie for the Oracle Cup title (previously the Small College Championships Super Bowl).  Their next opponent will come from either from Division II, NAIA or the junior college ranks.  The draws for the Oracle Cup will be made later Friday evening.
