Washington University Remains in the Hunt at ITA Regional

The Washington University in St. Louis men's tennis team has four student-athletes that remain in the 2016 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Regional held at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich. 

Senior John Carswell, the No. 4 seed, highlighted singles play for WashU by defeating a pair of seeded players Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals.

Carswell ousted No. 17 seed Siddharth Rajupet of Case Western Reserve University 6-1, 6-2 in the Round of 32, before rallying for a 6-7, 6-1, 6-2 win over No. 9 seed Erik Kerrigan of the University of Chicago in the Round of 16

Junior Johnny Wu also remains in the singles draw after posting wins over Sam Concannon of Case 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 and No. 9 seed Ninan Kumar of Chicago 6-3, 6-1.

Carswell and Wu take the court Sunday at Noon (ET) in the quarterfinals.
