Jonathan Jemison of Emory Advances To D-III Singles Semifinals At ITA Oracle Cup

Emory junior Jonathan Jemison has advanced to the semifinals of the Division III Draw at the ITA Oracle Cup following the opening day of action. The ITA Oracle Cup is being held at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.

Jemison, the No. 4 seed, battled to a 7-6, 6-3 victory over JT Wynne of Skidmore College.  Next up for Jemison is a Friday morning clash against No. 1 seed Mohanad Al Houni from Gustavus Adolphus.

In doubles, the No. 2-seeded team of Luke Tercek and Grant Urken from Bowdoin College topped the unseeded Emory duo of junior Adrien Bouchet and freshman Will Wanner, 1-6, 6-2, 10-6. The Eagle tandem now moves into the consolation part of the bracket where they will match-up against the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps team of Jake Berber and Nikolai Parodi on Friday.
