From University of Chicago Athletics
The University of Chicago men's tennis doubles team of sophomore Tyler Raclin and first-year Jeremy Yuan advanced to the semifinal round at day two of the NCAA Division III Singles & Doubles Championships on Friday.
The Maroon combo faced familiar opponents in the quarterfinals – Jason Haugen and Konrad Kozlowski of conference rival Washington University – St. Louis. They had met previously back in the fall in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region championship match, which UChicago pulled out 4-6, 7-5, 10-8.
This time around, Raclin and Yuan made quick work of WashU in straight sets with scores of 6-2, 6-4. They advance to Saturday's NCAA semifinals where they will face Emory University.
