The Emory University Men's Track and Field Team claimed its second-straight meet victory, winning the Emory Classic at the Woodruff Physical Education Center on Saturday.

The Emory men finished first out of 22 scoring teams at the meet, compiling 149 points to outpace second-place Marian (128.50 points) and third-place Taylor (82). 

After collecting four first-place finishes on Friday, the Emory men collected another four on Saturday. Sophomore Grant Murphy won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:58.21, the seventh-fastest mark in Division III this season. In the triple jump, junior Maxwell Hoberman finished first with a jump of 13.45 meters, ninth in Division III in 2015. Adding first-place finishes on Saturday were junior Spencer Koh in the pole vault (4.21 meters) and freshman Daniel Pietsch in the 400-meter dash (49.50 seconds).

Adding impressive performances on Saturday were freshmen Shane Sullivan and Benjamin Rogin. Sullivan finished second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:56.24, the 11th-best in Division III this year, while Rogin was the runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.20 seconds, the eighth-best in Division III.
