Another school record fell for the Spartans on Friday afternoon, as Case Western Reserve University junior Nathaniel Wahner broke his own mark in the 200-meter dash.

Competing at the Gator Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Wahner finished fifth in the 200-meter dash, becoming the first Spartan athlete ever to break the 22-second mark in the event with a time of 21.93.  The time topped his previous school-record mark of 22.01 seconds, set earlier this season at the All-Ohio Championships.

For the men at the meet, sophomore Grant Mlack was the runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.53 seconds, while freshman Rasheed Ajalaled the Spartans in the 100-meter dash with a 10th-place finish in a time of 11.10 seconds, just ahead of sophomores Zak Hurd (15th, 11.32 seconds) and Adrian Cannon (16th, 11.32 seconds).  Cannon also placed ninth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.32 seconds.

In the throwing events at the meet, senior Nicholas Heim was 10th in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.18 meters, and junior Pat Shober was fourth in the javelin throw with a toss of 52.59 meters.
