A contingent of New York University's men's track & field team participated in the Stockton Invitational on Saturday, March 26, in Galloway, NJ.
Sophomore Sherman King started things off by recording a career-best height of 4.20m in the pole vault to claim first place.
In the high jump, freshman William Lee just missed capturing first place but set a new personal-best height of 1.93m.
NYU was not done with its impressive performances in the field. Freshman Yohan Su secured a third-place finish in the long jump with a personal-best 6.25m.
On the track, junior Nathaniel Picard-Busky finished fourth in the 1,500m with a career-best 4:09.96. Senior Eddie Cruz-Desintonio took seventh in 4:13.00. Sophomore Jordan Reyes and freshman Brandon Shirazi finished each other's heels, placing ninth and 10th in 4:13.73 and 4:14.34, respectively.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- The 400m hurdles saw freshman Daniel Sovich and junior Nick Torsitano take seventh and ninth with times of 1:01.31 and 1:03.21, respectively.
- Freshman Abhishek Panigrahi placed 12th in the shot put with a throw of 11.08m.
- Panigrahi would return to finish 13th in discus with a toss of 31.30m.
