From Washington University Athletics
The Washington University in St. Louis men's track & field team posted competed in a meet that featured many NCAA Division I schools at the Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by Indiana University Friday evening.
Senior Josh Clark (3:46.03) broke his own school record by 0.87 seconds to finish third in the men's 1,500 Run Fast Section. The career-best time was also the sixth-fastest time in NCAA Division III this season. In the other men's 1,500 race, sophomore Elvir Sarajlic was the lone event winner for the WashU men after clocking a career-best time of 3:55.54.
Junior Conor Cashner clocked a career-best time of 1:55.76 to finish in ninth place in the men's 800. Other top-ten finishes include sophomore Roderick Smith (11.08), who placed seventh in the 100, and senior James Fitzhugh (50.86), who recorded a ninth-place finish in the 400.
