Chicago Takes Fourth at UAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

The University of Chicago men's track and field team placed fourth at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday.

UChicago snagged the top two spots in the men's discus. Senior Andrew Maneval earned his second UAA title of the weekend with the top throw of 46.99 meters. Freshman teammate Alexander Scott was the runner-up at 45.94 meters.

Junior Obinnaya Wamuo made a late-race charge to cross the line first in the 400-meter hurdles. His time of 53.94 led to his first career UAA individual title.

In the 100 meters, senior Jatan Anand finished second in 11.14. He was also a part of the third-place 4x100-meter relay (42.79) alongside junior Connor Turkatte, freshman Tyson Miller and senior Temisan Osowa. The 4x400-meter relay took third (3:20.27) with the quartet of Wamuo, sophomore Markus Diehl, sophomore Ben Chaimberg and Miller.
