Bears Compete at North Central Dr. Keeler Invitational

The Washington University men's track and field team competed at the North Central Dr. Keeler Invitational on Thursday and Friday.

THURSDAY

Senior Jacob Rother placed fourth with a season-best height of 4.61m in the pole vault. Senior David O'Gara placed fifth in the 10,000m run with a time of 30:45.05.

FRIDAY

Juniors Jason Singer and Eddie Wintergalen and freshmen Andrew Whitaker and John Harry Wagner had a runner-up finish in the 4x400m relay. The group's 3:15.66 time ranks 15th in Division III.

Sophomore Nick Matteucci ran to a personal-best time in the 800m, placing fifth with a time of 1:52.84 which ranks 29th in Division III.

Whitaker placed third in the 400m hurdles with a personal-best time of 53.88. His time ranks 23rd in the country and he also placed eighth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.35.

Senior Roderick Smith placed eighth in the 200m dash. He sprinted to a time of 22.63.
