Maroons Kick Off Indoor Track and Field Season by Winning Phoenix Invitational

The University of Chicago kicked off its indoor track and field season with a first-place team finish as host of the Phoenix Invitational on Saturday.

On the men's side, the Maroons bested the six-team field with four individual victories and 194 points. Aurora University was second with 143.50 points. UChicago took the top four spots in the one mile, led by sophomore Michael Frasco at 4:25.45. The Maroons also finished in the top three in the pole vault. Sophomore Michael Bennett recorded the winning height of 4.90 meters.
