Harry Weintraub of CWRU Named UAA Most Outstanding Field Events Performer

From Case Western Reserve University Athletics

Following his record-setting performance this past weekend, Case Western Reserve University senior thrower Harry Weintraub (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) has been named the 2014 University Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Men's Most Outstanding Field Events performer.

Weintraub shattered the UAA Indoor Championship meet record in the weight throw with a mark of 61 feet, five inches. That throw broke the senior captain's own school record and ranks sixth in the nation headed into the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championship on March 14.

An NCAA All-American in the hammer throw last spring, Weintraub owns school records in the hammer and weight throws, is a seven-time UAA Field Athlete of the Week, and has five individual UAA Championships on his resume.
