From Emory University Athletics
The Emory University Men's Track and Field Team finished third at the 2014 University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Championships, hosted by Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
The Emory men were paced on the final day by a strong finish
from their 4x400-meter relay team of sophomore Maxwell
Hoberman, sophomore Adam Rabushka, junior Zachary
Rosenberg, and junior Gui Silva, which claimed second in a
time of 3:22.86.
Three other Eagles recorded second-place finishes on Saturday, with
Rabushka claiming the runner-up spot in the 55-meter hurdles with a
time of 8.00 seconds, senior Samuel
Jean-Baptiste finished second in the 55-meter dash with a mark
of 6.62 seconds, and Hoberman claiming second in the triple jump
with a leap of 13.63 meters. Hoberman added all-UAA honors in
the 200-meter dash, finishing third in a time of 23.05 seconds.
Other scorers on the final day for the Emory men included
freshman Christian Johnson in the mile run (sixth,
4:23.13), senior Mike Moserowitz in the triple jump
(fourth, 13.17 meters), freshman Dennis Kamara in the
55-meter dash (fourth, 6.67 seconds), Silva (fifth, 50.98 seconds)
and Rabushka (sixth, 52.71 seconds) in the 400-meter dash,
senior William Matheson in the 800-meter run (sixth,
1:57.44) and Silva in the 200-meter dash (sixth, 24.64
seconds).
Emory's men finished the meet with a total of seven all-UAA honors
over the two-day stretch.
