Jarret Harrigan of Brandeis Turns in Top UAA Time in 3K at Tufts Cupid Challenge

The Brandeis University track and field teams competed at the 2015 Tufts Cupid Challenge on Saturday, turning in several notable performances.

The men were led by senior Jarret Harrigan (Ipswich, Mass./St. John's Prep) who finished second in the 3,000-meter run. His personal best time of 8:45.30 was the fastest in the University Athletic Association this season, qualifying him for the New England and ECAC Division III Championships in the process. Sophomore Quinton Hoey (Watertown, Conn./Watertown) placed ninth in the 3K and just missed qualifying for DIII New England's, running 8:55.83.   

The Judges had two personal bests in the 1,000-meter run, where rookie Max Whitmore(Wayne, N.J./Newark Acad.) and senior Greg Bray (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) ran 2:37.22 and 2:37.39, respectively. They finished in 6th and 7th place.

Senior Adam Berger (Concord, N.H./Concord) placed 12th in both the long jump and the triple jump with leaps of 6.04 meters (19 feet, 9 3/4 inches) and 12.58 meters (41 feet, 3 1/4 inches).
