Chicago Wins Windy City Rumble

The University of Chicago men's track and field team came away as the winner while hosting a large field of teams at the Windy City Rumble on Saturday.

The Maroon men topped the 14-team field with 137 points. Valparaiso University was second with 80.5 points.

Freshmen Patrick LeFevre and Will Ackerman dusted their opponents in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing one-two with times of 8.64 and 8.66, respectively. Junior Michael Bennett returned to competition with a winning height of 4.75 meters in the pole vault. In the 400 meters, junior Ben Clark raced past the competition in 51.24. Sophomore Michael Shumaker capped the men's victories in the 3,000 meters, finishing in a time of 8:57.46.
