From Brandeis University Athletics
The Brandeis track and field teams competed in Medford at the Tufts Cupid Challenge this past Saturday. The meet was nonscoring, but a dozen personal records were set.
MEN'S DISTANCE

Junior Quinton Hoey (Watertown, Conn./ Watertown) was .05 seconds off the New England Division III mark in the 3000m with 8:55.50.
MEN'S MIDDLE DISTANCE

Sophomore Christian Castro (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Townsend Harris) hit a personal best in the 1000m with 2:49.31.

Rookie Maddox Kay (Beverly Hills, Calif./ Windward School) hit a personal best in the 600m with 1:33.27.

Junior Josh Romanowicz (Peru, N.Y. / Peru Central) joined him in the 600m with a PR of 1:34.11.
MEN'S SPRINTS

Sophomore Adam Beckwith (Arlington, Mass. / Concord Carlisle) hit a personal best in the 60m with 7.76 seconds.
MEN'S FIELD

In his second collegiate showing, senior Kevin Trotman (Bristol, Conn. / Taft School)made a huge throw in the shot put with 38'5.5" (11.72m).

Junior Mark Franklin (Auburn, N.H. / Pinkerton Acad) tied his personal best of 6'2" in the high jump and won the event in a jump off.

Senior Adam Berger (Concord, N.H./ Concord) placed 6th in the long jump (20'2.5"/ 6.16m) and triple jump (41'10"/ 12.75m)

Rookie Henry McDonald (Weymouth, Mass./ Weymouth) placed 7th in the long jump (20'2"/ 6.15m) and made his triple jump debut (40'0"/ 12.19m, 9th)
