Three Tartans Honored with USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

From Carnegie Mellon University Athletics

Three Carnegie Mellon University male track and field athletes have been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with All-Region accolades for the indoor track and field season.

To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-five of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-three relay team.

Graduate student Joshua Antonson (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) finished in the top-five of the 5,000-meter run and is joined by junior Owen Norley (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) in the mile run and freshman Rai Walters (Westlake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) in the long jump on the list of All-Region honorees.

Both Norley and Walters will be competing at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend in Grinnell, Iowa at the Charles Benson Bear '39 Recreation and Athletic Center.
