Max Brown, Daniel Pietsch of Emory Reach Finals on Day One of NCAA Indoor Championships

Sophomores Daniel Pietsch and Max Brown eached the finals in their respective events as the Emory University track & field programs competed on day one of the 2016 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA.

Pietsch took first in heat four of the 400m Dash with a time of 48.42. His time was the third fastest mark of the event and placed him in tomorrow’s finals. The 400m Dash finals are set to start at 2:35 PM CST. Brown finished fourth in heat one of the one mile event, clocking in with a time of 4:13.66. His time was the seventh best in the event and will also be competing in Saturday’s one mile final at 1:30 PM CST.

Senior Max Hoberman is set to take part in the triple jump at 11:00 AM CST on Saturday morning.
