13 UAA Men Qualify for NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships

Thirteen UAA men qualified for the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, spanning eight individual events and one relay. The championship meet is Friday and Saturday in Grinnell, IA.

UAA Most Outstanding Perfomer in running events, Matthew Powers of NYU, is seeded seventh in the 200-meter dash. The UAA field events Most Outstanding Performer Mawell Hoberman of Emory University is seeded 10th in the triple jump.

Daniel Pietsch of Emory is the highest-seeded UAA performer at third in the 400-meter dash. Deko Ricketts of Washington University is seeded fourth in the 800-meter run and is part of the Bears' second-seeded Distance Medley relay with Michael Sullivan, Alex Bastian, and Josh Clark. UAA Rookie of the Year Rai Walters of Carnegie Mellon University is seeded fifth in the long jump.
